Allyson Schwartz believes that the state of Pennsylvania is very sexist against woman. She said Harrisburg couldn't even imagine a woman in office and it's sad to her. She believe she can do anything man can do. She was a front runner and then became second after tom wolf pumped millions into his campaign to help him out. Also she is very experienced she had been in congress and the senate for years. People loved Wolf and his theme resonates through people heads even though he has no electoral experience. She knows the system but Pennsylvania is very hard on woman so getting into position I be governor is hard. This can make the system look bad when it comes to woman and gives woman a chip on their shoulders. Also the woman  will have to work harder to succeed. This information is crucial to the woman so they can know what they are up against. The author is using quotes and stats about woman to explain this sexism thought. This could make more woman not want to run for office since it's so hard to do.
